Job Title: 1st/2nd line IT Support
Role Description
Insurance Broker based in the City require an experienced support technician to assist the Head of IT. Key responsibilities (to include but not limited to):
- Provide daily systems support as required to 50 staff including; PC upgrade/hardware fixes, laptops, MS Office application support and printer maintenance
- Installation and support of Blackberry devices
- Ensuring servers and networks are updated with all necessary downloads
- Performing daily server maintenance and housekeeping
- Provide support on insurance broking database IBS
- Manage data backup processes
- Liaison with external suppliers
Technical Requirements
The ideal candidate should have at least 1 years experience in supporting and troubleshooting the following technologies:
- Strong knowledge of MS Office 2003
- Administering Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange Server 2007
- Microsoft Windows XP
- Microsoft Windows Server 2003/08
- Blackberry Enterprise Server
- Knowledge of MS SharePoint or McAfee EPO v4 desirable but not essential
General Skills/Personal Attributes
- Educated to GCSE standard, including Maths and English
- Previous experience of working for an Insurance Broker advantageous
- Works well in a team
- Excellent communication skills
