NCG Professional Risks Ltd (NCG) was established in the City of London in July 1999, acting as a specialist insurance intermediary for the "traditional lines" of retail UK Professional Indemnity Insurance.

As a result of the expertise and quality of service which NCG provides, the company has experienced solid growth allowing us to expand into alternative areas of business and our reputation has also allowed us to attract some respected market figures to join our team.

In 2004, NCG acquired a team of talented individuals to focus on the North American market across various lines of business. This, with our commitment to client servicing, growth and investment has seen NCG become a valued business partner with several "blue chip" affinity groups as well as industry associations.

Also in 2004, NCG first became provisionally accredited at Lloyd’s of London, and began to trade with a much larger selection of insurers.  In early 2005, we were approved by the Financial Services Authority when they became the new regulator for the insurance industry.

NCG continued to expand throughout 2005 and 2006 into other classes of liability business, as well as developing an international presence within the liability insurance market.  In late 2006, we also established a new Bloodstock and Livestock facility.

In 2007, NCG added two further divisions to the company. The first of these was Global Special Risks, which provided us with a Marine and Energy presence in the market, with business emanating from continental Europe and the Far and Middle East.  The second new division we added gave us further International Liability capabilities in the Australasian market, together with a North American property and reinsurance team.

We look forward to continued growth and the strengthening of our position in 2009 and onwards into 2010.
